MADELINE AT SIX MONTHS

Highlights from her sixth month:
Went on her first overnight trip – Visiting the Zweigs (7/18)
First time in her bouncer activity center – (7/25)
Attended her first bridal shower – Amy’s (8/2)
Went to the beach for the first time – Rehoboth with the Rapps (8/9)

Maddie is rolling over. Over and over and over. She’s a baby in motion. If she’s not rolling she’s trying to worm, crawl, stand up or kick something. She’ll  stop to watch ceiling fans and chill out when she’s outside. She also slows down to watch the snow globe Aunt Lauren brought her and smiles every time she hears the music. Maddie loves having people sing to her. Head, Shoulders, Knees and Toes and The Wheels on the Bus always gets a smile. Her favorite night time sleepy song is Somewhere Over the Rainbow (the Jewel version).

Maddie is laughing and squealing now. She’s quite vocal and loves showing off all of her new noises. She’s teething non-stop, but we’re still waiting for the first tooth to pop through. We’ve been testing her tastebuds with a few different homemade foods. So far she’s had rice cereal, oatmeal, carrots, zucchini, green beans and blueberries.

We’re looking forward to her 6 month check-up next week to get some official stats.
