Maddie at 19 Months

Maddie_Month19MADELINE AT NINETEEN MONTHS

Maddie is on the move. She loves running and has a great time at the fields at Oliver Beach Elementary where we throw the ball for Lucas. She loves going to the White Marsh playground and is fearless on the swings and slides. At home, she can climb up the ladder on her toddler slide and slide down on her own.

Her memory continues to impress us every day. She loves singing the alphabet song and knows most of it. She also loves counting and telling you that she’s “counting!” She really knows her books at this point and can recite lines from them, finish the lines for you, or connect outside things back to her books. She knows exactly what parts she really likes and will sometimes try to skip to those pages.

At the end of the day she likes to sing “Tomorrow, tomorrow is only a day away…” when I tell her she will see Gaga again tomorrow during our evening goodbyes. She makes Mommy sing “The sun will come up…” part in the car as we drive down the street.

The movies Beauty and the Beast and The Princess and the Frog are big favorites right now. She knows the characters and loves the songs. Almost There, Dig a Little Deeper, Beauty and the Beast and Be Our Guest are current favorites.

She’s talking quite a lot and pretty easy to understand at this point. She’s still working on her pronunciation of the letter “S” but only with some words. Right now, Foon = Spoon and Fing = Swing.

She loves: SNOODLE, ice cream and slurping noodles.
