We took Madeline Dorothy to visit all of our favorite neighbors and had Grandmum, Poppy, Great Aunt Karen and Great Nana over for dinner. Poppy brought a very special present over, a Busy Board that he had made just for Maddie!
We went to Nana’s 90th Birthday party where people came from near and far to celebrate the one and only Marion Daniels. Maddie had a great time staying up late and was excited to show off her new dress and sparkly gold shoes!
We took Maddie to Weber’s Farm this weekend to pick out pumpkins for her first Halloween. 50% of the pumpkins there were larger than her! We found a few cool pumpkins, hopefully we’ll get to carve something special for her.

First night without Mommy and Daddy – 10/10
Maddie’s second bottom middle tooth came in so her little grin is just getting cuter and cuter. She still doesn’t want you touching her teeth, but she likes to brush them with her banana teething toothbrush. She’s perfected her high-fives and loves jumping in her jumper. She has started blowing outward, a trick she learned watching Grandmum with her pinwheel in the yard. She loves it when you sing to her and is really attentive to everything going on around her. She’s very inquisitive and loves inspecting everything from all sides.
Mommy and Daddy had their first overnight trip away from her on 10/10 for Elisa and Mike’s wedding in Cape May, New Jersey. Grandmum and Poppy watched her that night and Nana and Poppo tagged in when we attended Danny and Amy’s wedding near D.C on 10/11. It was a whirlwind trip, but she was in good hands and good spirits from what we heard.
