Happy New Year, Love Madeline
Madeline celebrated Rosh Hashanah with her daddy, nana and poppo. She loved the singing at services and let everyone know how happy she was…at the end of the songs…with a loud squeal, to the delight of the crowd. And she was very much in awe watching her Poppo blow the shofar. A happy new year indeed!
Sweet Seven
MADELINE AT SEVEN MONTHS
Weight: Heavy Height: Tall
Eyes: Blue Hair: Cinnamon
Highlights from her seventh month:
First breakfast at a restaurant (Shea’s) – 8/24
First dinner at a restaurant (Sunset Cove, our 4th anniversary) – 8/29
First sick trip to the Doctor’s office (common cold) – 9/2
First trip to the zoo (with Grandmum and Poppy) – 9/5
FIRST TOOTH!! (bottom middle right) – 9/12
Maddie’s first tooth broke through the day she turned seven months old. She doesn’t want you to touch it or look for it, but occasionally when she’s laughing or opening her mouth wide, you can see it. She’s making lots of noise these days. Most notable are her epic raspberries. She has amazing timing and adds comedic relief to conversations with her well timed rasberries. Now that we got the ok to let her sleep on her face, she loves to sleep. She sleeps 10 or 11 hours at night. It’s a whole new world for Mommy and Daddy. She is the cutest ever when she wakes up an is disoriented. She gives the sweetest smiles when she realizes you’re next to her crib.
While awake, she is still moving, moving, moving. She like to stand up while being supported and is surprisingly strong. She loves sitting outside on Grandmum’s porch and enjoys waiting for the ice-cream truck lady to drive by with her music playing. She waves at Maddie 🙂 Other frequent visitors include Poppy, Mr. Lee and Mrs. Shirley and Buddy the dog. (Grandmum’s neighbors)
She’s eating quite a few new foods now including: pumpkin, butternut squash, bananas (favorite), mango, peaches and spinach

Maddie goes to the zoo
Maddie had her first trip to the Maryland Zoo today. Grandmum and Poppy joined our day trip and we all spent a few hours walking around visiting all the animals. Maddie seemed interested in the polar bear swimming, but failed to notice the giraffe who’s head was 2 feet in front of her face. We’re excited to take Daddy to see the penguin’s new habitat, now that we’re official zoo members. After the zoo, we visited DiPasquales in Highlandtown for some official Italian food. Maddie enjoyed watching everyone chew. It was a wonderful day 🙂
